Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how 4trees ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile game application (the "Game"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

Information We Collect

Analytics Information

We collect basic analytics information to understand how players interact with our Game and to improve the gaming experience. Our analytics system is privacy-friendly by design: we do not collect any personally identifying information, and we do not use persistent user identifiers. Each session is assigned a random identifier that is discarded when the session ends. The information collected per session may include:

Analytics data is aggregated at the session level and is hosted on our own servers in the Netherlands. It is not shared with third parties for analytics purposes.

Crash Reports

When the Game crashes or encounters an error, we collect a crash report to help us diagnose and fix the problem. Crash reports contain:

Crash reports do not contain any personally identifying information and are stored on our own servers.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Our Game displays advertisements served by Google AdMob, a service provided by Google LLC. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect and process certain information from your device, which may include:

AdMob's data collection and use is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Advertising Consent and Personalization

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we will ask for your consent before allowing AdMob to use your data for personalized advertising, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This consent is collected through a consent dialog when you first launch the Game.

If you decline consent or withdraw it at any time, AdMob will serve non-personalized ads instead. You can manage or withdraw your consent at any time through the privacy settings within the Game.

Regardless of your region, you can also opt out of personalized advertising at the device level by resetting or limiting your Google Advertising ID in your device settings.

How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used for the following purposes:

Information Sharing

We do not sell or rent your information. We share data only in the following circumstances:

Our own analytics and crash report data is not shared with any third parties.

Data Retention

Analytics session data is retained for no longer than 24 months. Crash reports are retained as long as necessary to resolve the underlying issue, and no longer than 24 months. Session identifiers used in analytics are non-persistent and discarded at the end of each session. For information on how Google retains AdMob data, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy.

Your Choices and Rights

Advertising Consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

You can review and change your advertising consent preferences at any time through the privacy settings within the Game.

Google Advertising ID

You can reset or opt out of personalized ads using the Google Advertising ID through your device settings (typically found under Settings > Privacy > Ads on Android).

GDPR Rights (EEA Users)

If you are located in the EEA, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you, as well as the right to object to or restrict certain processing. Since our own analytics do not collect personally identifying information, these rights apply primarily to data held by Google AdMob. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for how to exercise those rights with Google. For any requests regarding our own data, please contact us using the details below.

CCPA Rights (California Users)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. For requests, please contact us using the details below.

Children's Privacy

Our Game is rated 12+ in some regions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our own analytics system does not collect personally identifying information from any user. AdMob is configured in accordance with applicable laws regarding advertising to children.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately using the details below.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our analytics and crash reporting servers are self-hosted in the Netherlands. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

International Data Transfers

Our own servers are located in the Netherlands. If you are using the Game from outside the Netherlands, your analytics and crash report data may be transferred to and processed there. Google AdMob may transfer and process data in the United States and other countries where Google operates. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy within the Game and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the Game after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. For material changes that require consent, we will request your consent explicitly.
